5 Wedding Trends on the Rise this Spring

Wedding trends come and go. Some continue to trend even beyond their time. And some tend to make a comeback when you least expect them. We’ve put together 5 of the hottest ones that we have come across and see trending for a while longer.

Mix and Match

More and more wedding stylists are mixing things up when it comes to venue and table décor. An eclectic style is often created through the use of two or more types of centrepieces and the eccentric arrangement of tables and chairs. When done correctly, this can add a whimsical and memorable touch to any wedding.

With Greenery being announced as the Pantone colour of the year 2017, it is only natural that hues of green are seen featured at weddings locally and abroad. Due to its natural yet elegant nature, the colour can be used in a number of palettes.

Personalised gift registries

In addition to classic gift registries that offer home ware and household appliances, couples worldwide are opting for unique gifts such as experiences and donations to charities.

Modern video and photography

The rise of drone technology has made it easier for filmmakers to create great wedding videos with breath taking views. Short films for sharing on social media apps such as Instagram have also become very popular among wedding couples. These two items have become a must have for the perfect wedding photo and video package. In addition to this, couples are opting for after-wedding shoots to alleviate the pressure of taking the perfect pictures and videos on their wedding day.

Cocktail bars

Instead of the usual party favor or snack bar, guests are being treated to cocktails mixed on the spot by a professional. This can include drinks for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic preferences. Check out our Mojito cocktail recipe and try it out yourself.
